 The Villa Maroc is located in a small alley near the old fishing port of Essaouira, on the Atlantic coast of Morocco, in the city with white-washed buildings and painted wooden boats, woodcarvers and fresh fish. Essaouira is almost an island, whose fairy tale towers loom over the Atlantic Ocean.

 Walking through the streets one can see the traditional "Souira" where some woman are still hiding behind the double walls of their pink ramparts, wrapped up in their white and brown wool haiks, placing them as equals, erasing the disgrace of one but allowing the other to be able to go incognito to a rendezvous.
The intellectuals, artists and even hippies have been always attracted to her - an artful, enchanting tempting Essaouira and one can believe that this place must be Scheherazade's paradise on earth.
